Oura Launches Ring 4 in India to Compete with Local Smart Ring Brands

Finnish smart ring maker Oura has announced its entry into the Indian market with the launch of the Ring 4, taking on local rivals such as Ultrahuman. The Ring 4 is priced starting at ₹28,900 (about $313) and going up to ₹39,900 (around $432), alongside a ₹599 (about $6) monthly membership.

The Ring 4 features advanced health tracking capabilities, including sleep, activity, and heart rate monitoring. It also offers personalized insights and recommendations based on the user’s health data. The Ring 4 is water-resistant up to 50 meters, allowing users to wear it while swimming or engaging in water-based activities.

Oura is a Finnish company known for its smart rings that provide health tracking and personalized insights. The company’s products are popular among consumers looking for a discreet and stylish alternative to traditional wearables like smartwatches.

The launch of the Ring 4 in India is significant as the country’s smart ring market is still in its early stages. The market has seen a decline in shipments and average selling prices due to the influx of low-cost options, making it a competitive and price-sensitive market. Oura’s entry into the Indian market with the Ring 4 could potentially shake up the competition and influence the growth of the smart ring segment in the country.
