The investment includes massive Liebherr-built electric haul trucks and excavators, as well as over $400 million worth of Chinese equipment from XCMG. The Liebherr T264 electric haul trucks, each weighing 176 tonnes and capable of hauling over 240 tonnes, are powered by a 3.2 MWh battery, rechargeable in under 30 minutes using Liebherr’s 6 MW DC fast charger.
