The seed funding round was led by India Quotient, with the funds earmarked for product development, distribution expansion, and R&D. Helium Smart Air has partnered with IIT Kanpur for research and development, aiming to create smart cooling technology that operates at low costs. The company’s first product is designed for areas up to 100 sq ft with a 2,700-watt capacity, operable on a 1 kW solar panel, and is priced at approximately ₹17,000.

Founded in 2025 by IIT Kanpur alumni Ashish Sharma and Aman Munka, Helium Smart Air is based in India and is dedicated to creating affordable and space-efficient air conditioning solutions for residential use. The company’s maiden product is set to commence deliveries later this month, with plans to expand to more geographies post-launch.
