Meta has signed a deal with Amazon to use millions of AWS Graviton chips to power its AI needs, Amazon announced on April 24, 2026. The AWS Graviton is an ARM-based CPU, not a GPU, and is designed to handle AI-related compute needs.
Details
The AWS Graviton is Amazon’s homegrown chip, specifically designed for AI-related compute needs. Meta’s deal with Amazon brings more of Meta’s cash back to AWS instead of competitors like Google Cloud. This comes after Meta signed a six-year, $10 billion deal with Google Cloud in August 2025.
